Celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the great city of Chanute!

 

The Chanute Historical Society is excited for the New Year. We are working to make this celebration year a great success!

Our Research Center received a donation for office equipment and we were able to purchase a book scanner that will allow us to digitally store our documents without harming them. We are currently setting up the scanner room and making it a safe space to archive documents. This will also make the documents more accessible. People will be able to do research without having to touch and handle historical documents, but they will be available to view them when requested. We want to thank all of you who help us keep records of our hometown. We know that future generations will appreciate the work that is being done.
